Principal Tech Evangelist, Alexa Voice Service
Job summaryDo you want a unique and exciting opportunity to help build a thriving developer community for Alexa ? We are looking for a leader with a passion to build developer communities, developer training curriculums and who thrives in ambiguity, to join the Alexa organization and expand our developer community.
In this role, you will seek feedback and that is a mixture of frustration, excitement and criticism (good and bad) that the community communicates to you.
Your decisions about how to ensure we are developer obsessed will directly impact the community.
To represent the Alexa Developer Community accurately, you will become an internal expert on what capabilities we have, how a developer can access them, and which topics are worth pursuing in the developer community.
The overarching responsibility of the Developer Technical Evangelist is to ensure the success of the developer audience and communicate their needs back to the rest of the organization in a consistent and measurable manner.
Developers hate being marketed to, and they have an incredibly sensitive awareness meter for when they are being pandered to so authenticity is important.
Key job responsibilitiesAs the Senior Alexa Developer Technical Evangelist , you will be responsible for:
1) Execute on our developer community strategy and take ownership to refine it during the planning process.
2) Translate developer feedback into product teams in the language and the manner they understand (VOD process) and ensure proper actions are taken to delight our developers.
3) Own the Alexa code repository strategy to build a vibrant Alexa developer community in sharing and supporting meaningful code samples.
4) Support the developer learning organization to build the right technical curriculum for our target audience.
5) Inspire, encourage and excite internal teams about the developer community (Inter-Organization marketing).
Ensuring the appropriate internal teams understand who makes up the community and why they should care about these individuals.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
