Union Soccer Schools Nurse- PA

Position Summary
An Union Soccer Schools Nurse ensures the health and safety of all on-site campers, Team members and visitors; obtains and maintains health records and documents as required by Union Soccer Schools, state agencies and accreditation agencies; administers basic first aid and medications and responds to emergencies as necessary.
Position Objective/Purpose
We are seeking motivated Team members who believe deeply in the organization's mission and who display a record of achievement in nursing as it pertains to working with children and young adults. This candidate must be capable of completing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the professional standards of Union Soccer Schools. This position is critical to daily camp operations and the overall success of the summer, as Union Soccer Schools' number one priority is SAFETY.
Position Scope Factors
Nurse oversees health and safety for all campers (ages 6 - 14), Team members, and visitors.
Multiple locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware
Some travel required
Essential Job Responsibilities
Participate in all Union Soccer Schools Team Trainings as required, as well as pre-camp opening activities
Collect and maintain health records of campers and Team members in accordance with Union Soccer Schools Policies
Monitor, evaluate and follow appropriate Union Soccer Schools health and safety procedures and routines
Monitor health of campers and Team members participating in camp activities
Administer appropriate care in compliance with Union Soccer Schools Standards, Policies, Guidelines and Procedures Serve as a liaison between Union Soccer Schools Camps and parents/guardians and campers
Understanding of, and ability to articulate and support, Union Soccer Schools Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Assist parents and Team members with medical and health questions
Educate Team members on health and safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to,; basic first aid, Epi-Pen and rescue inhaler administration and serve as a resource for emergency response procedures
Manage camp Nurse's office/area; ensure the office/area is clean, organized, and well-maintained
Maintain supply inventory; order as necessary
Work effectively with co-workers as a team and collaborate on various responsibilities
Serve as a positive role model to campers and Team members
Follow the Union Soccer Schools Code and maintain the" Union Soccer Schools Look" at all times

Experience Requirements
Pediatric nursing experience (required)
Proven success in working with children and young adults with medical conditions, including but not limited to; food allergies, diabetes, seizure disorders (preferred)
Proven success in working with children and young adults with special needs and/or disabilities (preferred)
Certification Requirements
Valid license as a professional RN
BLS
First Aid Certification (preferred)
PALS or ACLS (preferred)
Education Requirements
Graduation from a NLN accredited program
Other Skill Requirements
Outstanding communication skills which include the ability to use clear, concise and grammatically correct written and spoken language in all aspects of interactions with campers, their families, peers, leadership team and the community at large
Reporting Relationships
Reports directly to and takes direction from Field and Operations Managers regarding daily camp operations.
Reports directly to and takes direction from Director of Nursing and Camp Medical Doctor regarding nursing practice.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Good physical condition which enables candidate to execute all responsibilities associated with this position
Push/pull, lift and carry a minimum of thirty-five (35) pounds across campus
Work inside/outside the Nurse's office upright and mobile for six (6) to eight (8) hours per day
Must have the physical capability to see (near and far), bend, kneel and carry individuals during emergency situations
Respond to emergency situations (indoors and outdoors) which may include running (up to 1 mile in some cases) and ascending stairs without undue exertion
Possess physical capacity to fulfill all essential job functions - responsibilities listed above

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
